Council Town Hall Meetings

UTS Council's Town Hall Meetings are an opportunity for UTS staff and students to interact with Council. All UTS staff and students are invited to attend.

2016 Town Hall Meeting

At Council’s 2016 Town Hall Meeting, the Chancellor briefly outlined the role of Council in UTS Governance. The floor was then opened up for questions from staff and students. The variety of questions ranged from climate change issues and ethical investment funds, casualisation, retention rates within Indigenous student groups through to student satisfaction, course content and the City Campus Master Plan.

2015 Town Hall Meeting

At Council's 2015 Town Hall Meeting, the Chancellor gave a brief presentation on UTS’s major achievements and challenges in 2014/2015. Following her presentation, the Chancellor and Council members answered questions from UTS staff and students in the audience.

2012 Town Hall Meeting

At Council's 2012 Town Hall Meeting, the Chancellor gave a brief presentation on the progress UTS is making towards achieving our vision of being a world-leading university of technology. Following her presentation, the Chancellor and Council members answered questions from UTS staff and students in the audience.

2011 Town Hall Meeting

The Chancellor gave a presentation on the role of Council and its Committees at the 2011 Town Hall Meeting, and, together with the Chairs of Council's Committees, answered questions from the University community.
