Registers of Authorisations
Under principle 9 of Council's Standing Delegations of Authority, a delegate may authorise an employee under that delegate’s supervision to perform certain expenditure and human resources functions for and on behalf of, and in the name of, that delegate. Any authorisation may only be granted and exercised in accordance with guidelines issued from time to time.
Expenditure of funds
Authorisations for a position to expend funds on behalf of a delegate may only be granted and exercised in accordance with guidelines issued by the Director, Financial Services:

Human resources functions
Authorisations for a position to perform certain human resources functions on behalf of a delegate may only be granted with approval by the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor. Any authorisation may only be granted and exercised in accordance with guidelines issued by the Director, Human Resources:

Completed forms should be sent to Staff Services, HRU. Staff Services will liaise with the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor regarding approval of nominations for authorisations.

Protocol for Execution of Documents
It is your responsibility to ensure that you exercise your delegations only in accordance with the principles that are set out on page one of the Register.
The Protocol for Execution of Documents should be used as a guide by delegates, and those who are making recommendations to delegates, to enter into agreements with third parties.
