UTS elections

Elections are held to fill a range of membership positions on UTS boards and committees, including staff or student positions on Council, Academic Board, and faculty boards and committees associated with these bodies.

2019 timetable

Staff elections

A special election to fill staff positions on the Research Committee is being held in May.

  • Nominations are open from Tuesday 2 April to 3pm, Tuesday 16 April 2019
  • Voting is open from Tuesday 7 May to 3pm, Tuesday 21 May 2019

Later in 2019, staff can stand as candidates and vote in elections for Academic Board, Academic Board committees and faculty boards.

  • Nominations are open from Tuesday 13 August to 3pm, Tuesday 27 August 2019
  • Voting is open from Tuesday 17 September to 3pm, Tuesday 1 October 2019

Student elections

In 2019, students can stand as candidates and vote in elections for Council, Academic Board, Academic Board committees, faculty boards and ActivateUTS.

  • Nominations open from Tuesday 13 August to 3pm, Tuesday 27 August 2019
  • Voting is open from Tuesday 17 September to 3pm, Tuesday 1 October 2019*

*In the ActivateUTS election, voting closes at 3pm on Tuesday 24 September 2019.
