It is a requirement of the University that students attending a ceremony wear the academic dress of the degree or diploma in which they are graduating. You will be fitted with the appropriate academic dress on the day of your graduation, but payment for the hire takes place in advance as part of your UTS ceremony fee.

The ceremony fee covers your academic dress hire, tickets for you and your guests to the ceremony and reception afterwards, and a DVD of your ceremony. (For more information about your ceremony fee, see Paying your UTS ceremony fee.)

Please note: as UTS graduation ceremonies are formal occasions, you may wish to consider what you will be wearing with your academic dress on the day of your ceremony, as graduates usually want to look their best for the graduation photos that are taken at the ceremony.
