Graduation checklist

To be eligible to graduate at the Autumn 2009 graduation ceremonies you must have a status of 'Passed' displayed in My Student Admin (see footnote) and have had your award conferred by UTS Council (Rule 13.4.1)

If you are eligible, take the following steps to ensure you can graduate at these ceremonies:

  1. Check your 'Formal Name' is correct in My Student Admin
Your 'Formal Name' shown within My Student Admin is the name that will appear on your testamur (your degree) and your academic record. If your Formal Name is not correct, the incorrect name will appear on your testamur and academic record. You are advised to allow Correction of Name form (PDF) five (5) working days for your name change application to be processed.
  2. Any changes made to your Formal Name beyond a certain date will be too late to appear on your testamur and academic record. It is your responsibility to ensure your Formal Name is correctly recorded. The University cannot be held responsible for incorrect name details (see footnote).

  3. Check your 'preferred mailing address' is correct in My Student Admin
We will be sending vital graduation information (including your testamur and academic record) to the address you have nominated within your My Student Admin account as your 'preferred mailing address'. The DVD of your ceremony will also be sent to your nominated preferred address.

It is your responsibility to ensure your preferred mailing address is correctly recorded in My Student Admin. The University cannot be held responsible for mail sent to incorrect addresses.

Any returned testamurs and academic records can be sent to you again, however this process will automatically incur an extra postage/courier fee.
