UTS encourages the use of its logo in innovations, ventures and enterprises that enhance the University's good name and promote its standing in the local and international community.
Use of the UTS logo must be approved in writing by the UTS University Secretary.
Authorisation to use the UTS logo
No authorisation is needed when using the standard templates for UTS presentations, business cards, letterheads and faculty/unit publications developed by Marketing and Communications Unit, as these have been authorised by the University Secretary.
In all other cases or where a joint venture between UTS staff and an external entity is to display the UTS logo, an application for use must be made by the relevant UTS staff member and endorsed by their Dean or Unit Director.
Applying to use the UTS logo
Use the Application for use of the UTS logo (PDF) to prepare your application. The application package includes an application form, information on the application process and guidelines on the use of the UTS logo.
Your Dean or Director must endorse your application before it is submitted.
Submit your completed application by mail or email to Mary Coull, Governance Support Unit, for processing before the University Secretary's review.
Applications are usually processed within 14 days.
Conditions of approval
The University Secretary's approval is only for the use(s) specified in the application. A new approval has to be obtained for any other uses.
A review of the final artwork is required prior to publication.
