Student Discipline and Appeals

Student Discipline and Appeals is located within the Governance Support Unit of the Registrar's Division. It has three primary functions relating to student discipline and appeals: case management, education and research and development.

Role and functions

Student Discipline and Appeals:

  • coordinates and administers student discipline cases,
  • provides information, advice and training to faculties, units and students on all facets of student discipline and appeals, and
  • acts as a referral and advisory service for students seeking support.

In addition, the Student Discipline and Appeals aims to:

  • promote awareness of the University's Rules, policies and guidelines relating to student discipline,
  • provide information and support, and
  • reduce, where possible, incidents of misconduct.

Each student discipline matter is case managed by Student Discipline and Appeals staff who ensure that students are informed of the status and progression of their case.

Student conduct at examinations
