4. FINANCIAL STATEMENT/CONTRIBUTIONS
Invoices for contributions for the 2006–2007 membership year (1 July 2006 to 30 June 2007) have been distributed to universities.
 
5. CONFERENCES AND MEETINGS
The National Colloquium of Chairs of Academic Boards/Senates will be hosted by the University of South Australia on Monday 23 October and Tuesday 24 October 2006. A paper on the Bologna process will be presented by Tony Baker and Anne Cusick. (See also the 'Next Meeting' item below.)
 
6. NATIONAL PROTOCOLS FOR HIGHER EDUCATION APPROVAL PROCESSES

7. OTHER BUSINESS

7.1 Board of Studies Decisions
Summaries of decisions of the most recent meetings are attached (Attachment C).

7.2 Meeting Dates 2007
Suggested meeting dates for 2007 are attached for approval (Attachment D).

7.3 Comparability of Australian and US Bachelor Degrees
The Chair will lead discussion re issues around the acceptance in the US of Australian 3 year undergraduate degrees (where there might be reluctance to assume that the Australian 3 year degree is not equivalent to the US 4 year degree). See attached (Attachment E).

NEXT MEETING
The Committee is asked to decide whether it wishes to meet as scheduled on Thursday 12 October, at Australian Catholic University, Sydney. (The fourth meeting is in effect a 'reserve' meeting, scheduled in case the volume or urgency of business warrants convening the group. The national meeting will be at University of South Australia on 23 and 24 October.)
